Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can store in your browser. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to gather anonymous statistics about how a site is used. Similar technologies (such as web beacons and local storage) work in comparable ways; this Policy covers them together with cookies.
2. How Do We Use Cookies?
The HALO Trade Copier website (halocopier.com) is a static informational website. It does not require you to log in and does not set its own cookies to store your personal data.
The only cookies and similar identifiers placed when you visit the Site come from the analytics services we use to measure traffic. They help us understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the Site and which pages they view. We do not use cookies for advertising or to build personal profiles.
Note: the HALO Trade Copier browser extension and desktop companion do not use cookies to track you, and they do not send any data to us. They only store your own settings and local records inside your browser and on your PC, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Analytics cookies
These cookies are set by third-party analytics providers when you visit the Site:
- Google Analytics — stores identifiers such as
_gaand_gidto distinguish visitors and sessions, and to produce aggregated reports about Site usage. Retention: typically up to 2 years for_gaand 24 hours for_gid. - Baidu Analytics — stores identifiers such as
HMACCOUNTto distinguish visitors and sessions and to produce aggregated reports about Site usage.
The data collected is used in aggregate to measure and improve the Site. We do not combine it with information that identifies you personally.
Strictly necessary cookies
The Site itself does not use strictly necessary cookies. (If this ever changes — for example, if a consent banner is added — this Policy will be updated.)
4. Managing Cookies
You can control or delete cookies as you wish:
- Browser settings. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies — see your browser's help pages (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies). Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to view the Site.
- Google Analytics opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data across all sites: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Privacy modes. Browsing in private/incognito mode limits cookie persistence (cookies are deleted when you close the private window).
5. Third-Party Privacy Policies
For more details on how the analytics providers handle data, see:
- Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
- Baidu Privacy Policy: privacy.baidu.com/policy
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
